Re: Nice Lookin COPO on Ebay
Wow... that transmission stamping looks good, although extremely fresh. I have never seen a stamping shine like that when a picture was taken, not even on a restored unit.

-Matt </div></div> (This is a hypothethical only!) How might this hold up in court if after purchase of the car say the orginal motor is found ? Block is a # 512, cast dated A-8-9, stamped on passenger side of block in front of the starter. Pad stamp is T0423MN with the factory broach marks just perfect, Vin number stamped on pad by the oil filter 19N644665, see photo in the rough cast. I will guarantee in writing this is the "Original" Block that came in this car. |

Other than it's been for sale since Jan 2010 ($350K back then). For being 2-owner, too bad the interior had to be redone. Glovebox area is glossy and door panels aren't originals. Still, nice car. 9N644665

Re: Nice Lookin COPO on Ebay
I talked to the owner of this car - very interesting gentleman with alot to talk about. The car is great looking, excellent color combination COPO car but I think he is going to have to wait long and hard to sell this one. Possibly on the rebound to the market if he brings the price down it will sell. Lynn's gorgeous rally green car only sold for $105k with lot of history but not born with motor.

Re: Nice Lookin COPO on Ebay
I do not have creditials to validate car, however, I have met the owner and Dennis. They are both great car guys and have a large show room of many muscle/collector cars. I have seen all his cars and can say they are typically original or restored correctly. The Mustang appeared to be in excellent condition but its been two years since I've been in their showroom or shops. He also has a first production (1) built 55 Buick car but unsure of model.

I watched that auction and saw the RG COPO go over the block and thought it was hammered quick. I actually re watched it and I know there have been a ton of BJ conspiracy threads but it seemed (of course this is from a TV stand point) that car was hammered awful fast at 107K . The commentators had just said with great enthusiasm , " there are not just two people bidding on this car, there are a number of people " . They showed a bidder on the left with his wife .. they showed a bidder on the right with his son , showed a bidder with the car off the stage on the ground looking underneath the car ,and then they asked Hendrick if he bid 110K and shakes his head and says , "no" then Spanky asks Hendrick , " are you sure" to which Hendrick shakes his head yes and says , " sure" ... they roll the car back to 105k asking 110k then all of the sudden the car hits 107k and is hammered sold at what seemed rather quick . I wonder if they gave it a little more attention if the car would have brought some more money. Blue car looks nice .. great color combo
