Default Craigslist rant about the Deuce Nova here in Phx

Re:1970 Yenko Nova,Real or Clone? - $135000 (Way Too much)

The Yenko big-block Nova was Produced in 1969 and the small-block-inspired Deuce debuted in 1970. The first-year Yenko's numbered 37, of which 28 had a 427 installed by Yenko's crew and 9 left the lot with the factory-installed 375-horse 396 powerplant. They were 396 cars with no SS emblems.Yenko Novas were available with either the close-ratio Muncie four speed with Hurst linkage or a Turbo Hydra-matic with Hurst Dual-Gate shifter, mated to a heavy-duty 4.10:1 12 bolt Posi axle.

1970 Yenko decided to install a Camaro Z28 LT1 with 360 houses, solid-lifter cam, F-41 suspension and a choice of manual or automatic transmission. 175 versions of the Deuce were built under COPO 9010 and offered in one of eight unique colors. Each car came stock with standard-grade black interior and a front bench seat.

This information was found on Nova History. Again, Your car has the wrong shifter, get rid of the wrong column, please spend the extra $200.00 for a floor shift column. Then change out the shift indicator on the dash to a blank, another $40.00. Then it should look correct, does it have a rear sway bar? Again, Is the vin number correct, tell us the first 5 digits on your ad, you got a 33% chance since they made those cars with either a 4,6 or 8. For your price, I would seek out a more desirable Yenko Corvette,Camaro or Chevelle before buying the Nova version. The only less desirables would be the Corvair and Vega stinger.

I guess I don't understand the point of this rant I searched the Phoenix craigslist for both 'Yenko' and 'Nova' and found no car like this for sale; only three different rants. Why rant on craigslist about a car that's evidently NOT for sale on craigslist I will take a WAG here and say that this may be in regards to the Mist green Nova that runs around metro Phoenix. This car has had its picture taken and posted on this site several times. I doubt that it would fool anyone who's a regular visitor to this site

Hmmm... This gentleman is actually describing all the things that make a auto deuce unique. It should have a Hurst auto stick which if you don't know what you're looking at looks like a comp plus 4spd shifter.
The wrong column is the right column. The car was sent from the factory with a column shift. On conversion to the floor, the pin was knocked out, and the handle removed. It was not a smooth column...ever.
As stated above it was an on the column shift, therefore the shift indicator was in the dash. Don, non Hurst never changed, or put the blank in. Auto sticks have the pattern on the top of the shifter ball.
Yes there should have been a swaybar, but many were taken off and had traction bars put on. The important thing is that the swaybar mts are on the bottom of the car. That tells you it's an SS with F41 susp. or a COPO Nova with F41.
Hopefully he will find a real deal bonified "Yenko Corvette",
and in the process pick his wadded up panties out of his poorly informed a$$.

X2!!

The car that PostSedan shows sparks my memory a bit - I believe it to be a real car, owned by a collector in AZ but I forget his name. I think he has 2 deuces - or perhaps 2 '68 Gibb Novas.... I forget, but I seem to remember him owning one of the 6 L79 Novas produced in '67! Met him at that Nova Nationals in Belle Terra, IN a few years ago....

Kurt, how the heck did you find that? I searched for both 'Yenko' and 'Nova' (separately) and couldn't find it! You get the super sleuth award.

To the guy claiming the automatic Yenko is a fake....im glad you know so much about this car and have taken the time to check the Yenko Super Car Registery.. In which this car is listed.. I, as the son of the owner of this car ( he in which he owns 29 novas) is very informed on this car...I challange you to prove it wrong in detail with proof.. not just running your mouth thinking you know everything.. This car is part of one of the most elite collections of novas owned by one person...And no the car will not be sold at Barrett.. it will remain in his personal collection, it doesnt need to be sold, unless someone wants to step up with the cash... I will be looking forward to hearing from you... And if you can prove it wrong then Mecheam Auction will have a lot of explaining to do....
You can forward all info to the add...

Thanks for your time
