That makes more sense to me.
I've only known the 2-1/4" pulley 846 to come on Police pursuit vehicles.

Joe D.
Is this for a hydraulic lifter 350cid. or 396cid. C-60 Air Conditioned equipped car?
I think that when A/C was ordered on one of those engines, the 61amp #843 was the std. alternator. But when A/C was ordered on one of them,AND an extra higher output alternator was desired, the RPO K-85 #849 63amp got the nod for $5.30 more, onto the C-60 A/C cost.
A Camaro could also have come without A/C,yet still have the K-85 63amp extra output alternator requested seperately, for a $26.35 charge,of which only 114 1969 camaros did.(Not available on the 6cyl. with P/S,302cid. or L-78 engines.)
This is just what I'm reading in the original dealer ordering guides,so someone who has a car similar to yours, should be able to confirm the alternator application for you.
I've not seen an #846 on anything other then Police applications, but that's just me.

Thanks for the info Rick.Mine is 396 with a/c.As only 114 Camaros came with this option the odds of finding another Camaro are pretty slim but I was just told it also came on 1080 69 Chevelles so maybe there is a chance.
