John Lingenfelter Chevy II Race Car Question..

Does anyone know if John Lingenfelter use to race a 1962-1964 Chevy II? If so does anyone have pictures or any info on the car? Thanks Andy

I think he just had a '67. ...but would love to see pics if he did and any other early Chevy II/Nova pics.

I cant let the cat out of the bag yet.. From what I was told this was his first race car I just cant seem to find any info on the car what so ever.. maybe it was before he made a name for himself? but I do know the car was bought from John Lingenfelter along time ago and has title search/ history to prove it.

Andy..I do not remember if it were this car, but could be. A while back I ran across an old race that was supposed to have a JL connection. Upon further investigation, kind of connected, but not really as much as was the ad led folks to believe.

Hot Rod did a story on him many years ago and there was a 1st gen Nova in one of the pix.

I believe that he started racing on the East Coast before he had moved to Indiana. Check with Sam he knew all the racers from back in the day.

John Dianna wrote an article in Hot Rod Magazine called "Triple Treat" about Lingenfelters Chevy II. I can´t see issue or year on my copies.
