Default Cutbacks may end GM Canada's documenting service?.

Only rumor so far and it'll be a sad day if it comes true but if anyone has a Canadian delivered/built car or Vin they want documents for, it may be best to play it safe and get it done now...before it's too late?.

I've been told they have most all '77 model year and newer F-Body cars in their files too regardless of where built/shipped new..

If it doesn't make money, I can see them doing it. Only thing is these are the same people who are responsible for the documentation you need when importing a newer GM vehicle into Canada.

Good points Hylton..
Someone who works at the dealer level also mentioned GM Vintage Services takes care of the keying/code systems in Canada..
Lets hope if there's any truth to thoughts of axing the Vintage documenting, the other services they do helps keep things afloat..

Pete,

I don't think so. Frank and I go back to hanging out and cruising the east end togther in the early 60s. He's out of town right now, but George is taking care of business as usual. Will let you guys know if I hear otherwise.

Please keep us posted on this Lance.

This will be a blow to all of us who treasure their GM of Canada vintage documentation. Both Frank and George do a tremendous job of not only getting the correct information regarding your vehicle, but getting it quickly.

Let's not let this happen.

I sure hope the cutback is just a rumor.George Zapora really knows his stuff and really takes an interest when you deal with him.

I think it was a '70 Z/28 that he had a few years ago when I met him, so he is a musclecar guy too.
