69 DeLorenzo L88 black convertible
As I have changed direction in my collection to original unrestored cars I am selling my black 69 L88 convertible. It is one of 2 69 black convertibles known and was ordered new by Tony DeLorenzo. It was restored with no expense spared by by Ken and Gary Naber in 2003.As with most L88s it does not have the original drive train.Awards include Bloomington Gold,Special Collection(twice)Hall of Fame,NCRS Top Flight,Gold Spinner and Triple Crown.Docs include a signed and notarized affidavit from Tony DeLorenzo, copy of the original window sticker and complete owner history. This is a well known car in the Corvette circle.Price is $450,000 and I would be interested in interesting muscle car trades especially unrestored survivors.I am happy to email pictures to anyone interested. For more info please call me @214-707-3000 or email [email protected] Thank you

Re: 69 DeLorenzo L88 black convertible
This is a great car for those who haven't seen it. Production figures for '69 L88's are 116 total with only six real black/black cars. Four coupes and two convertibles. My old black/black coupe recently sold for $600k. This price is very much in line for a rare low production factory race car.

I've seen it many times. Great car and a straight up owner. This is the real deal.

Re: 69 DeLorenzo L88 black convertible
I agree with the above posts, it is a great car and a black convertible too! I think that the price is very fair and will look downright cheap to whoever buys it 3/5 years from now.

Re: 69 DeLorenzo L88 black convertible
Got a change to visit with Tony about this car as he was driving Colin and me around in Colins '66 Shelby GT 350 last fall. Funny to order a car like that for your "street car". I guess when your race car is a worked over L88, you get a car like this for the street.

...I guess when your race car is a worked over L88, you get a car like this for the street... [/ QUOTE ] Not to take away from Tony D's own success as a racer but having a father who was a GM VP probably didn't hurt any when you were ordering up your street cars?. Sorry to sidetrack but on the subject of Tony's Owens-Corning cars, does anyone know what happend to that loose hood that was floating around within the last couple years?. And didn't the original graphics on it include the number that Yenko was running when he was co-driving the w/ Tony and the boys?. Best to you in selling the L88 Roadster...also to the lucky bastard that end up w/ it!. ~ Pete |

Re: 69 DeLorenzo L88 black convertible
Gotta look out for that Tony guy, let him drive your car and the next thing you know he's putting the moves on your old lady...Hey Tony, where's your other hand?
Bastard returned my car out of gas, with bald tires and wore out brakes. Cana said he was fast, but not in a good way? Don't know what that means? |
