Default Cheap '66 Corvette Convertible Project, No Reserve

Can't remember the last time I saw a decent looking C2 with a no-reserve auction starting at $14k. Looks way better than a lot of the junk at this price point (but I'm certain it will be bid much higher before the auction ends).

That is Sherri's dream car right there. Even the current color, but I would prefer to go back Nassau Blue. She would probably go along. She wants modern stuff in a midyear vert. So no original engine and trans is really a plus on this one. I couldn't bring myself to butcher a "numbers" C2. Easy choice on how to build this one.

It is also within driving distance. Just put in a bid, but pretty unlikely I get this.

----I'm sure I haven't ever seen a 66 with that brake arrangement. The booster must have been added as the master is a single pot non-power mc. The booster is also incorrect. Wonder how all that worked. Also appears to have some work up front, looking at hood alignment....Bill S

Radical cam small block with free flowing aluminum heads and a tremec 5 speed with a 4:11 rear and hold on.Maybe a call to jim inglese and get a Weber fuel injection unit. I think I just spent 20-25,000.It would be a hot little car.

You are 100% correct, but I just wouldn't care. Would go with a dual circuit master. With the right master and four wheel discs, you don't really need power. Still an option. Would use the smallest booster available just to save room.

On the "work" fiberglass is not that hard; just messy. It needs stripped anyway. If I can get it cheap enough, OK. If not. Oh well, such is life. 8 days to go. No need in getting excited right now.
