It isn't the double stamp that bothers me. Happened from time to time. The last digit on the engine pad is a 7, which is &quot;elongated&quot; as has been seen on lots of LA cars. So, even if the guy double stamped or triple stamped the tranny, it should have the same elongated 7, and it does not appear that it does.

All I am saying is get it checked out thoroughly. Lots of questions.

I would think if seller is sure about the car he would agree to inspection by Jerry. My offer to him would be if Jerry inspects the car and it checks out I buy it and pay for inspection. If not seller pays for inspection.

I wrote it off when I got the picture of the DZ stamp &amp; date. The VIN is fine, it's the DZ and the broach marks at that spot that are a mess - my bet is it was an SS350 at some point. Too many good cars out there to waste time on questionable ones. thanks for taking the time...

I think you're right about it being an SS350. I talked to the seller and he told me it had 2 fuel lines.

That DZ looks funky, but it could be the angle. Need a better pic to make a call.
