Thanks Dan.
We have a really good muscle car only show coming up in May, which I am lucky enough to have been invited to be a part of, and figured that when I placed my order in the first week of November, I was leaving myself more than enough time to be ready. Fool me.

Thanks Bruce.
I was actually dealing with Doug initally then got handballed to another guy Eric, and then the wall went up. I'll keep trying though. Don't have much choice as they are the only one I have been able to find who reproduce the fabric I need not to mention the fact that they charged my credit card the day I placed the order.

Sounds like "the hobby" needs some new reliable alternatives for these products
Wasn't there a place in Texas that handled similar stuff?? I think there is also a place down south Miss or Ala..not sure? I went online and found a few places http://originalauto.com/ http://www.classicautointeriors.com/ Maybe someone should buy SMS and get things back on track... wilma

Thanks Tom. I am going to send these guys an email and see if they have what I need. I'm past caring about the money I've spent with SMS and just want the material.

I ordered and paid ($1,000) for a set of 68 Chevelle Deluxe 300 front and rear door panels. After waiting 21 months and countless calls, the panels arrived and they were the worst fitting panels i had ever seen. The car is a 2 door post and the door panels were definitely for a hard top. I called and really got the run around. Finally I called and got a guy who actually told me I didn't know how to install them. I don't have to tell you guys the difference in door panels, but he certainly didn't seem to know. When i tried to install the rears, the chrome strip that runs along the rear and matches up with the front was off by about 3/4 of an inch. I took a lot of pictures and sent them to SMS. I was told to send them back as he fired someone for quality issues. I waited another 8 1/2 months only to have the exact door panels returned. They even had the blur painters tape and my writing still on them where i pointed out the issues. They went back again and 6 months after that, I received a box with only one metal top rail for the front and one top rail for the rear. The instruction was to see if these rails fit my car. They are still sitting here and SMS has my $1,000. I wouldn't recommend SMS to wrap a pair of socks in a gift box.
Thats beyond total crap. Its a total turnoff to the car enthusist. Nick </div></div> |

Dan put me onto his guy at Legendary before we went to SMS, but unfortunately no luck. I think I am going to have to wait it out. I've been told in the last day that the cloth has been woven and is having the end details done Oh, I am also a priority now
