The VIN should be stamped on both the engine and transmission, however some engines were missed or stamped too lightly to read. [/ QUOTE ] We have found at least 3 REAL DZ's that have build dates in the late March to April time frame (V0323DZ - V0409DZ with one later, I believe V0418DZ) none of which have VINS on the Oil filter Boss. There were no traces even after vatting the blocks, rubbing paint into the grain and trying to find something using blown up high res photos. IMHO If in less than 2 years I can name 3 then there are LOTS!
