I think I spied a set on Ray Morrisons 68 the last time I looked under it . I think I have an idea who installed those things too Hey Sully, I found some spring clamps still in the blister paks from Cal Custom on Ebay a while back and they are going on my 72 Nova..... Some day

Phil Brewers 68 Nova also has them as well as a piece of flat stock above the longest leaf to help prevent spring wrap up..

I have them on my 68 nova ss 396 car .Leaf spring clamps work well ;with no issue on driving them on the street.Phil brewer;haven;t heard that name in a while.chris

The old article on the Gibb/Harrel Novas shows the spring clamps being installed...shouldn't be too hard to replicate.

You can run them on the street, but the ride is noticeably stiffer. Also, I have the Mr. Gasket set, they are a bit too wide and will hit your frame rails when the car squats. You will need to grind about a 1/4" off the ends that face the c/l of the car - both sides, ie; all 4 plates!
