I believe it all depended how many options the car had. Striped Z/28's had the 4 leaf and loaded cars had the 5 leaf.

The car has only the options I posted above. I am assuming the springs were changed at one time; I just need to do a hard physical to determine if they are original GM 5-leaf springs or replacement ones.
Personally, I have never seen a 5-Leaf set installed from the factory on a 69 Z. Every one I've had in the past, they all had 4-Leafs. The factory did do stuff back then so I guess that's possible ![]() |
