BTW this is a RSZ28, I believe it is a real tt, the car has original paint except where some body work was accomplished, so no need for a color change TT. The car has been off the road since 1980 was partially torn down to restore. Guy who had it started a family, and ran into the typical time, kids, $$ constraints. He had to sell the car to pay taxes. I've been trying to buy it for some time now. I had heard the C551 was a LA scheduling code, anyone know anything about these codes? BTW it's a RSZ28 and with a lot of time and $$ will be nice. Came with a DZ motor, but not the original. Some rust issues will require minor sheet metal replacement. I will soon post pics and show what I am starting with.

The C stands for the 3rd day and it was the 551 car that day to go to the line. I cannot tell what month the car was built as the pic is not good on my screen.

It's a 91B, C 551 or Jan (1), 1969 (9), 2nd week (B), 3rd day of the week (C), 551 car of the day? or the 551st car built on 10 Jan 1969.

Its 01B, which is 2nd week of January.

C551 is the VanNuys body scheduling code.

Its the 551st body during the C period.

C isnt the 3rd day of the month. It all depended on when (what day) the "C" build week started. They also built fullsize chevrolets at the same time.
