I just tried sending a pm to a member on the board, and it says that the message as been successfully sent. However, when I go to "my home" to verify that it has in fact been sent, it does not show up. It says that I have 0 sent messages. ![]() Also, when I set the brower to "remember me" when I log in, it will only work for 2 or 3 days. Then I have to re enter my password. Is this somthing that the board does, or is their an error in my account? All other forums that I belong to remember my username and password every time I enter their site. My browser cookies are always set to medium so the the computer is able to recoginize what I put for my username and pw.thanks, Andy

Andy: you have to check the "I want to keep a copy" box to save your sent messages. As for the login deal, for some reason your computer is expiring the cookie from...if it works for a few days, then it should work indefinitely.

Andy [/ QUOTE ] Most operating systems have a setting for "cookies" in amount of space that is used to store them, try increasing the amount of space used for storing cookies. (This should only be required if you are not logging in every day.) to change cookie settings in a windows operating system select "tools" then "internet options" then "temporary internet files" (cookies). then "settings" you may increase the amount of storage space for cookies which will extend the time between logins. I am not a computer expert, my kids told me this. This may also make the lights dim in the garage. ![]() |

Thanks for the help guys. The login issue is the same on both my desktop and laptop.

I'll try to increase the size for the cookies to see if it will retain the information needed for this site.

			Just a heads up here....

Also remember that if you keep copies of your sent messages, it affects the total amount of messages that you can have (99) before your PM box is full. For example...if you have 35 messages in your "inbox" and 55 'sent messages' in your sent box....that equals 90...so you only have space for 9 additional messages...before your box is full

My Sent and Inboxes seem to hold 99 or 100 in each...total 198/200 before full?.

Perhaps try sending a bigger donation and see if that helps?. ![]() The login remembering thing is something I've simply gotten used to.. Sometimes it sticks and remembers me for weeks...other times not even an hour?. The long threads thing (like the 100 pg. Rotting Musclecars) where I need to click through the pages by tens is something I've never resolved?. I tried changing settings to every seemingly possible way but no differences?. ![]() ~ Pete |
