Sully, type of headers may be a factor...I had some old school versions on my 70 black car and they worked ok with the Hurst linkage....they weren't big tubes though. I'll post some photos of the set up when I can...car is in the palm trees at the moment
 our red 70 has a similar setup..more to follow.wilma....almost in FL with Cheesehead
