			If anyone here is familiar with Delaware and their black plate program, the same principal applies.  Low numbers go for stupid money

			Delaware license number 6 sold this weekend at auction for $675,000. Local developer bought it. He also bought number 9 in 1993 for $185,000 |

			I know a guy in Delaware who tracked down plate #409. The owner GAVE it to him to use on his car. .......OF course, he never drives his car     |

			Low number plates for big dough is not just a Deleware thing.  It has been going on in Illinois for decades.  It used to be if you "knew someone" you could get a low digit plate number or just 1 or 2 letters.  Or you could make a generous enough political contribution to your favorite Crook County politician and you would get a low letter or number plate.  I would love to see the list of plates in IL that are 1-99 or A-Z.  I bet it reads like a list of who's who.
