[ QUOTE ]
All Kansas built cars had the L on the trim tag if they were a factory Super Sport equipped car! [/ QUOTE ] I think that's too presumptuous a statement to make There is a thread on the Chevelle website that's been going on for well over a year now, where people with Kansas built 69 Chevelles have been posting whether or not their car has the 'L' on the TT. While I have not read every post on that thread, I believe it is a fairly accurate summation to say that most all *known* Kansas built 69 Chevelle SS 396's have the 'L' on the TT. The key thing here is how many cars are truly *known* to be an original SS396......there are just an awful lot of good fakes and too many people with enough knowledge to be dangerous out there to really be able to make a definitive statement on this 'L' thing.
