Some nice stuff Matt. That tilt is super super rare. A 65/66 impala one complete will bring 750.00. I am curious to see how this 63/64 one does since it has been many years since I seen one for sale.Good luck with the auctions

Matt,
Just some observations on your tilt auction to help you.. The Tilt wheel was not offered on the Biscayne models in either year. Also, '63 & '64 were different tilt columns. The difference is in the diameter of the upper housing which mates to the wheel hub. The upper housing has a date stamp (year and julian) to help you know which one it is.

Thanks Verne,

C173 I guess making that 1963 on the floor shift tilt, I never even noticed that there was a date on the column.

Thanks again

Matt

Matt,
I believe the C173 means Chevrolet, Julian 173rd day. There should be "63" or "64" also stamped in it. Sometimes the stampings are very light and almost impossible to see when they're filled up with paint.
Here's a pic of a '63 collar for reference. Julian 095. The stampings did vary a bit between the 2 years.
