I hate to be a nay-sayer, but about the 1st photo in this post: The "Benchmark" LS6. There has been some controversy over the years wrt whether it is a true survivor or not and I ain't gonna rehash that. But, I was saddened to learn over the weekend that the stripes were painted on the car recently involving original checked lacquer removed and fresh paint applied!!!!

Now we can put this one to bed - it definitely is not a Benchmark car anymore

! I am truly bummed as I have pined for this car for years and desired to own it one day. To me it was the ultimate street brawler with its non console, non stripe, non cowl induction hood. And now this. Oh gloom, despair and agony on me.....

WTFO!?

I am thru with my rant now......

Except for the Tachometer and Bumper Guards.....This is the Exactly how my L-79 Nova came to me in April of 66 from Hoskins Chevrolet........Everything, Colors, Whitewall Tires, Hubcaps, Options.............Wow!!....Might have to look "Hard" at this one.....

This is one of Troy's first cars, Seen it at Peotone many years ago when Troy still owned it.......Pretty Cool to see it's still around and that he had the "Touch" way back then.........

They could have at least put the correct grill in the car.

And what is up with the bright gold painted booster?? HUH!

Not a good representation of a correct car especially with the supposed low miles.
