Has anyone used a NKR reproduction? Are they metal bases like the originals? I can not seem to get the web site to come up.

I believe it is the one used on 327 4bbls. It has rubber inside the groove around the edge whereas the real cowl plenum piece does not have any rubber there. To my understanding, Nelson Rudisill uses the style of air cleaner lid as shown in your picture because it is relatively close in appearance and then makes his own base to fit that slightly smaller lid. That way he only has to manufacture the bottom, not the whole thing. -Jon

Thats just a pic of one that I have saved for future reference. My car does not have cowl plenum, so I dont have one or need one.
