with a little help from mr 70 we located the battery code on the build sheet. My car was built in the 5th week of may 1970 and it had side terminals. Im not sure if there was an actual date it may have been what was availible at the time. I think the Z may have had a larger battery maybe someone knows. The only way to be sure I guess is the build.
