Depending on which plant it came from, if it has an L on the lower couple of lines (options codes) that indicates a wide ratio 4 spd. Some plants didn't put the option codes on the trim tag.

The 1965-66 Full Size Chevrolet club is the source for the code. I believe they also apply to Chevelles.
