Im surprised that you didnt add something to do with cars in all of those scenarios.

1967: Johnny returns from his first tour of duty in Vietnam and buys a new '68 Hemi Road Runner with some of the money he saved while away.

2007: Johnny returns from his third consecutive back-to-back Iraq tour with hopes of buying a '08 Shelby Mustang. He learns that they have been speculated/hyped into the upper 50K's and decides he'd better just buy a Mustang GT and use the rest to pay the insurance premiums and the $3.90/gallon gas.

(Sorry if that edged toward the political.)

1967; Chris gets dared by rowdy seniors to drive Bus around the school while driver is complaining in principals office.
He takes one lap in the bus, to find driver and principal waiting when he stops. Chris must take public transportation for the remainder of 10th grade.

2007 Chris takes bus for ride, does not return to school, drops off kids at their homes. Runs bus at Riverhead Raceway in demolition derby.

1987: Phys Ed teacher lines all Gym classes up and tells them State has asked him to make sure Knives are left at home. After looking at dozens of pocket knives and giving them back to students Phys Ed Teacher tells entire classes that half need to learn to use a wet rock...... Then tells them to keep knives in pockets... Five minutes later, female classmates purse and undergarments are at top of flagpole Paddlings ensue

2007: national news. Lawyers, Therapy..... etc...
