Eary is right and Type 'O' castings...CL!.

I could be wrong but don't believe Jim Hall or even McLaren were running MK1V's until the '67 cars?.

I'd be leaning more towards a Corvette application, maybe some Mickey Thompson road racer...actually when did they start building the '66 L88's?. Yes the '66 L88 not '67...a select few got them, our hero Yenko for one also Penske..

There was a bunch of aluminum engine action going on at GM around that era w/ the CERV cars etc and although I don't think they ever did it, wasn't there some plan for putting a MK1V into the XP819 rear engine 'Vette?. Even the original SB was all aluminum...and necessary w/ that rear overhang!.

A set would go nice on a Z16!.
