Somehow I am not buying that especially after watching a recent episode of "How's it made". The common sense part of me tells me not to pry the lid off of one to look.
 However, it does have my interest peaked. Anyone try this?

oh yeah, it's for real !! and inside each of those AA batteries were 16 little watch/hearing aid batteries !!

 http://www.gagfilms.com/But you know.. If you pry open one of those Everlast 12v Car batteries from Walmart.. there are 250 AA batterys in those.. for only $48.99
