Chris...thanks for the pics! Where's your car? You should take a few shots of it!

as much as it hurts to type, its worse to shift. the car is dusty in the garage until the arm heals.

here's an old shot to make me feel better

this 65 small block vette had TT wood wheel, air, 4spd and 24000 miles with original paint. only brake shoes have been changed on this car.

Wow!!!!!...........I'm not a Corvette guy.......But this one could fit in my garage (After I changed something on it so the numbers wouldn't match ....LOL)........Thanks for posting the Pic's......The 61 Chev with the Olds Grill is pretty cool also...........

Ken, check out the rare clamps with retainers on the AC hoses. no sign of anything altered but a little touch up on the valve covers under the hood. (but I'm not a vette guy)

thats what I said when I saw them, noting they had no resemblence to standard pressurized lines. then he pointed out that clip attached to the clamp that grabs the edge of the hose. I had never seen that before so he had me. He had some NCRS docs. I'll be happy to enlighten him with an experts call.

still not a vette guy ( nor have I ever owned a paisley shirt)

My "Best" Corvette story is from the Elkhorn, Wi Car show of a few years ago
I was walking thru the Corvette section (on my way back to my car) and saw a very nice early 90's Vette that had a "All" aluminum Big Block in it.....Whoever did the conversion did a "Factory" job......very Neat and Factory appearing.......as I was looking at the car, I noticed there was a Brand New Vette (Burgandy with a Tan?? Interior) parked next to it......the owner had a couple of people looking at the car and he was telling them about how he had to search for a long time to find a Shirt and Hat that was the Exact color of the Interior so as when he would be Driving the Car....He wouldn't detract from the "Beauty" of the Car .....I've since made sure to "Detour" around the Corvette Guy's.....As I get Older, my Stomach can't take that "Stuff" anymore........

------Dont mean to correct,,, but all midyear air-conditioned Corvettes I have ever seen use that style clamp. Some of the aftermarket AC upgrades use crimped hoses, but not original Vettes. Matter of fact, the 69 Grand Prix I just took apart two days ago with 26000 orig miles also used this style clamp........Bill S

-------Oh,,,and Ken,,,The few shows Im lucky enough to get to anymore in a Corvette, I feel good to have no stains on my shirt. Never entertained a tone-on-tone motif.

Only reason I said they are aftermarket is because I used to sell them at the old auto parts store I worked at. If Chevy put clamps like that on I wouldn't know.
