These are original and authentic,first issued in 1968 for ALL Chevrolet vehicles,and then used to feature the New 1970 vehicles as well.
Item #27 in the 1968 Chevrolet Merchandise Catalog.
These are made of Heavy Gauge prime steel covered with weather resistant gold/white enamel paint,4 round hole punched.The USA-1 script is embossed & painted in with metallic gold enamel,and not gold annodized as was the earlier design.
These have and never been mounted on a vehicle.
These feature the correct straight CHEVROLET lettering in the bow-tie logo,as well as the "See America's First!" slogan.
The top plate does have a slight scuff under the word "First!" under the bottom border do to shelf storage,but is not serious.
