Default Re: Fire Takes a Batch of our Local Vintage Cars

We NEVER leave the batteries connected in our old cars. A friend had his '64 Chevy out for a drive. He came home, parked it in the garage and went to get tools to unhook the battery as he always does. The wiring was smoking when he got back. That's how quick, and without warning, that these old cars can go up in smoke. 40 year old wiring is dried out, cracked, and corroded. It also pays to not store all your cars in one place either.
