One mph slower than the Calloway "Sledgehammer" Corvette did here at the Ohio Transportation Research Center.
Motor Trend had the famous cover shot of the Vette that had the caption "WARP SPEED, 254MPH".
Anyway you look at it, that's moving!
I want Shotgun!
(no way I could trust my reflexes at that speed)
Where can I get those NASA dipers?

Here's a speedy little rocket worth looking at..
This modern day 'Supercar' builder has taken what looks like a written off SmartCar and rebuilt it...adding Suzuki GSX-R power!.
May use up rubber quickly but would sure be great fun...unless you wipe it out?!.

I had to laugh, when the car reached approx. 400km/hr--he says --"At this speed the tires will only last about 15min., but that's o.k., because I've only got about 12min. of gas.............."..............What a rush..

I couldn't help but think of the enormous kinetic energy that an 8,000 lb. car produces at 240+MPH. But then, that is only a tiny fraction of what a 767 would produce at close to 600 MPH!
