From Mr. Stefina, who has a '64 R code Merc that runs low, low 13s and a '58 430/400 Merc that's just a tick slower...anyway:
R-code engines in 1963: 3857 R code 1038 Q code 3465 406 w/3x2 1157 406 w/4-barrel Best as I can tell from talking to him, you can't get exact on production figures, but extrapolate the info via percentages and engine build numbers...so your mileage may vary!
