Default Re: 67 Chevelle SS hood - original GM

I'd add one too but weren't the 66/67 Beaumonts all originally shipped w/ flat hoods...even the Mk1V cars? .

What I've learned so far, is that the early 67 Sport Deluxe cars came with a flat hood and had a regular Beaumont 736 model VIN number. Some time between October 27/66 and January 5/67 the Sport Deluxe's were assigned a special 738 model VIN number and at some point started receiving the big block hood. The early dealer brochures showed the Sport Deluxe with a flat hood and later ones showed the Sport Deluxe with a big block hood.

Canadian built Malibu SS and Chevelle SS models apparently went through some changes during the 67 model year but I don't know the details.
