Default Pa. Dutch Classics, Maple Grove

170 Stock Eliminator cars at the Dutch this weekend. Steve Ficcaci of New Jersey went a legal 9.96 in his A/S 68 camaro. He ran a bunch of 10.0's all day yesterday. Bucky Hess ran an incredible 8.51 @ 154 and some change in his SS/AH Hemi Cuda. Dave Thomas went 8.98 in his SS/BA 69 Corvette also. Great racing weekend. Air was great!

Benjamin and I were there on Saturday, my favorite event of the year - the air was incredible. About 80% of the field was running close to 1.25 seconds under

Sam: you seen any new A/S or SS/A 'Vettes out your way running? Or heard of any? I knew they threw a bunch of S/S only cars into stock (lots of Hemi stuff I think)...

Nope. No new vettes in NHRA anyway. There was talk about it but nothing yet. A/S and A/SA are heavily contested because they run Top Stock at these events now. A lot of A/SA Challengers, Cudas and some Mustangs. The Fords are real fast!! There is a 68 vette running A/SA and a 69 vette running A/S. That is about it. No new vettes at all really. 2 novas running in A/S one is an automatic 402 car and Ed Bednez is a 375 horse car with a stick. Both with aluminum heads. They all run the aluminum heads even the 427 camaros.
