I guess it depends on what you're looking for in the car. In short, you can probably buy a nice restored or original one for a lot less than you can build one for, even if you got the car for free. The 73's bring nowhere near the $$$$ that the 70-72 cars bring. IMO, the LT model adds virtually nothing to the value over a base Z28; if it was an RS also, that would be a different story. Being nit-picky here, 'stripe delete' is a misnomer. Stripes and spoilers were both extra cost options in 73. I'm not sure about the owners comment about having no stripes due to being an LT model.

My brother has had 2 73 LT Z's neither had stripes from the factory. The one he has now is a RS LT Z 4spd matching numbers... no rust issues... he paid $2500 for it in 1989-90, it needed paint and interior at the time...
