Even though it has been two months, I'd suggest calling UPS to file a claim. Although there's lots of supposition here about what the buyer MAY have done, you're not sure of anything other than it worked when you sent it and now it doesn't. It MAY have been damaged in shipment, and by contacting UPS you're showing good faith to the buyer.
If UPS says it's too late to file a claim, THEN you should tell the seller that his complaint fell outside the insurance window, and that's what he paid shipping w/insurance for. You can't give a 'lifetime' warranty. Put yourself in the buyer's shoes -- if you were him, what would you want the seller to do at this point? Depending on what the repair bill is, UPS may be willing to pay the repair, rather than the cost of the item (or whatever you insured it for). I've gone the repair route with UPS before with satisfactory results. Good luck, BCD. |

That sounds good to me too. I already asked the buyer if he had the box I shipped the items in. He said he threw it away. I hope they will insure it without packaging.
