The RPO Z28 included more than just the engine, such as the suspension and 12 bolt rear. The rpo z28 price increased as items were added such as chrome tail pipes and spoilers. The price increased from an introductory price of $458 to $ 502 if memory serves me.

As stated there were mandatory items such as power disc brakes and a 4spd trans that were added to the z28's base selling price. Yes even positraction was an option. The z28 option actually cost more than 9561 copo option.
