Default Re: Spiral shock rebuilding ?

I'd like to know too.
I once had over 20 leaking spiral shocks dated 1966-77 that needed rebuilding.I had two people tell me they knew someone who did.It turned out that person rebuilt only Lever shocks, and not spiral.
I did come across another man who rebuilt spirals @ SC Indy by cuting them open at the bottoms, and then resealing them with a torch. You could see the obvious weld seam very easily,so I kept going.I ended up selling all the spiral shocks to a man in Michigan and always wondered what he was going to do with them?
