			The factories got the message and one response to the aftermarket wheel craze was Mercury's 1964 Comet Cyclone wheelcover intended to look like a chromed stock wheel.  Were these wheelcovers made of metal?  I seem to remember a neighbor's '65 Comet with these wheelcovers and I thought they were plastic.  |

			American introduced the 200-S or "Daisy" wheel in 1969.  My buddies and I called them "flower mags."  Note the "hall of fame" wheels at the top of the ad. Torq-Thrust!    |
