"R" represented a resistor type spark plug was being used. I believe this started on all the 69 models.
I know 68 Z/28 did not come with a resistor plug, but 69 did R43 as opposed to 43). I am assuming the same holds true across the board, but am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong. Lynn |
