'70 Hemi vs. '70 Sixpack RR...Hemi best 13.34/107.52 mph...sixpack best 13.65/104.04 mph Both cars were 4:10 geared/autos. Both were hardtops as described in the article. Sorry, but I don't know the difference in coupes and hardtops with Chrysler. Hemi was Sublime and 6pack was red with blk vinyl top. Bill Stiles drove both cars and did minor tuning to them. First baseline run was 14.35 for the 6pack and 14.31 for the Hemi. Article describes cars as not put together well and leaked at the car wash. Several good pictures in the article.

Thanks copo69,

does the RR have a B post or pillar? That is an impressive time . Could you tell if headers or slicks were used?

Thanks again,

P.S. anyone have a copy they wld be interested in selling?

Both cars are hardtops...no B pillars. Cars were completely stock and identically equipped. The only mods were tire pressure adjustments and air cleaner elements were removed. The cars were picked up new in Detroit and driven 700 miles to Washington, D.C. Testing was then done at York US30 Dragstrip in Pa. 700 miles in a 4:10 geared car would be fun.

In 1980 I bought a 70 Hemi Challenger from the original owner. It had the Super Track Pack option, which included the 4.10 Dana rear axle. Orig owner told me he and his family once took it on vacation from Chicago area to California and back
