Default Re: Hot Rod Mag's "Drag Week": 9/12 through 9/16

Hey Rob,

Give me a call if you are heading up. I am sure you will know by this afternoon if you are coming. I know it would be fun, but like I said, I was nervous enough running to St. Louis and Stanton last year. I will make the drive to Stanton via a detour to Detroit this year (to pick up the truck and trailer! )

I know that people have made the predictions on what will make the best times and survive the thrash of 5 tracks in 5 days. I calculated it was something like 1700 miles traveled between all of the tracks. I am guessing computer controlled, boost enhanced cars that will have an overdrive thrown in the gearbox (or behind). I have a feeling that a 5.0 Mustang with a procharger will show up and clean house, but the running gear will have to be bull stout.

Hey Charley,

You should have left Maltitude here in the Mid-West. I am sure that Rob and I could have put it through the paces!

I wonder how much the gas price is going to effect this race?
