A lot of the people who have moved here recently are from California...They've taken their equity and run...most can buy a house with just their equity earnings...and spend the rest on fun stuff. Plus, your only an hour away from SoCal by air (or ~5 hours by car...if you set your cruise at 80+mph). Sure it gets hot here...but that why we have A/C and pools....and palm trees and monsoons!
