I was wondering if these are real? He has the receipt but does that warrant authenticity?

What more authentication could you ask for? Valve covers didn't come with a protectoplate.
 Looks legit to me. I bet you could also get Joel to verify them for an extra 1500.00 if the original receipt isn't enough documentation.
