Have you tried to contact the DMV with the VIN or Tag?
Here in Canada, for $12.00, we can get a list of all previous and the current owners name and address of the car in question. I did it this year to try and find my 1977 Z/28 I ordered in 1977. Good luck and let us know if you find it.

I ran what is called a KSR through the California DMV at the dealership where I work at, a couple of years ago. No information came up with the license number. Either the person that bought the car changed the license plate or the car went out of state. This car was in exceptional nice condition with all the original paper work and original paint from the doors forward. It was modified with a 3-piece rear spoiler that was molded in.

About two years ago I went and Looked at a yellow 1970 Z-28 For sale. Car was Bare metal and vinyl top was Removed for replacement. I think the car is still in Utah. I can Provide more info if you are interested? E-mail me At [email protected]

Hey there.........how do I make contact to do a search? I'm "this close" to buying a Oshawa built Chevy. VIN checks out from GMCanada Vintage Services check, but would love a previous owner report.
