I believe the plumbing on the master cylinder is some type of hop up trick.

Belair, I think that is a pre prototype 60's era version of a line-lock.Gotta have something to hold all of that power.

Yeah, he was "hopped up" on something when he did it. And hopped up even more when he wrote the description.
