Hi Guys,
Just got home from work. Man you guys are tough! If I was gonna dog anything, it would be that interior! I am fairly certain that it is a real Z. The 5th VIN digit is the "T" which only the Z's got in 73 (72?). I have only had the car about 2 months and have not driven it much. As for the trim tag, that's why I posted a pic. Some say that screws were correct, some say that they still used rivits. The other RS front end is from the 73 Z-28 RS in the background that we are putting the engine back in after a freshening up. (FYI - It also has a "T" in the 5th VIN digit, but DOES have rivits on the trim tag). I am selling it and the 70 Monte (which I DO drive alot) to take this new lady to the dance: (now the 70 Monte, THAT is a car you need to look at) ![]()

I DO really think the 70 Short Spoiler was much more classy on the 2nd gens. I hope that I was tough enough in the ebay ad. It is a good starter (the 73 Z) car that you can drive while restoring. If anybody has a definitive answer on the screws vs rivits thing, let me know and I will update the auction.
And the Trim Tag on the SS 396: ![]()

It's all good.
Man. I'm gonna miss that monte. But I am probably going to enjoy that X66 more! Now, since it has no engine, do I find a 396 or drop the 427/390 that I have gathering dust in the garage in it? One of these days I'll keep trading up to a COPO! Rich

My 16,000 mi original '73 Z has screws holding on trim tag. It's a real late '73.
