Looks like that 68 is an original big block car from the pictures. You can see the big block heater box. Gotta love those huge tires sticking out.

[/ QUOTE ] I read somewhere that Joel Rosen preferred that buyers order a L78 car and then do the Phase conversion from that starting point. They'd pull the L78 and sell it at the Baldwin parts counter. The picture shows the Baldwin Chev. parts counter circa-1968 and you can clearly see a L78 engine---probably yanked during a Motion conversion. (The original photo shows the "396" air cleaner sticker clearly.) |

In September I will upgrade to a period correct 454 and a period incorrect Gear Vendor overdrive (most people won't be able to see that anyway).

---Very organized list--Should look super--Will it be burning rubber by summer
![]() Is the same fella who did your Macos, doing the panel work?? ---------------------------Your right Larry about the welded spring perches--like you said as power increased so did suppport.I showed that picture of the ladder bar , to show almost everything was welded back then as the cure-all solution, but it did need support to handle the stress---I wouldn't have wanted to be in the car when the spring perch let loose on a power-shift-------- |

[/ QUOTE ] He's supposed to be done with rear half by the end of next week (which includes priming the rear half). I'll then get a quote from him for the time & money to paint it. I hope to have it back by April or May. Drive it all summer with the small block. No, Fiberglass Specialties only does Corvettes. The guy doing my Camaro has an excellent reputation for doing classic cars... just that he has limited time... also does collision work (and a contract for all FedEx vehicles in the area).

The full cover
![]() [ QUOTE ] COVER: If you're looking for the ultimate mind-bender, this is it! Phase III SS-427 Camaro is the only supercar offered in the world which is guaranteed to run 120 mph in 11.50 seconds or better on a sanctioned NHRA-AHRA quarter-mile track. A full-scale test appears Page 39 of this issue. The engine is the aluminum-head L-88 which is an extra-cost option on the Camaro. [/ QUOTE ]
