68 BB Camaro with 140 Speedo, Yenko Hood on Ebay

Omar, the seller of the Camaro is apparently upset. He has sent the following email to several of us and I think wants it posted. I'm not sure why he doesn't just post on the site...
"First of all Mr. Hefty member# (628) let’s get one thing straight before you and Yenko.net end up with a really huge lawsuit for slandering my name across the Yenko sight and for the Yenko sight condoning it, in which legal action has already begun being discussed and it would be very easy to win as I have seen the remarks that you have made regarding me on the sight. I am not a crook as you have stated. In my opinion, you are a complete uneducated Jerk! You called me a crook on a nationally publicized web sight because I used a friend of mines e bay account for selling my vehicle? Very intelligent… You have made a very stupid and a very big mistake. Know one is hiding there name or info from you as who are you that anyone should have to hide anything from? My friend is the one who listed the car for me as he had an e bay account already set up and the car was NOT misrepresented in any way as seen in the e mail that you posted on the sight and the e bay add itself, the add clearly states that the car is non documented, and was very clear about the car and very honest about the car’s components. I even seen the correspondence on the sight between you and Mr. Lillard who told you that it was bs that I didn’t want to give you my vin numbers. I don’t have an obligation to anyone on the sight or anyone else for that matter to give them vin #or trim tag info of my car unless I CHOOSE TO. If you had a problem with not being able to attain the information you wanted then why couldn’t you be a man and call me as a number was left on the e bay add which if you had any sense you would have used it. I have proof that my car came with a 410 427 which came with the car when the car was purchased, know one had to tell me.. I.e. casting numbers ECT (for Mr. Lillard). So as for your” totally bs remarks , I think the only bs is your chicken sh-t life and the way you slander individuals name even though you don’t know them, know anyone they know or have ever done one single business transaction with them .It will be interesting to see if you have enough courage to post this e mail on the sight like you did the last one for all the members to see your true colors. It will also be interesting to see how the legal ramifications turn out regarding this matter also."
Omar or whoever you are..Your ebay auction seemed to imply that your car might be a yenko but you were not going to do the homework to find out. The easiest way to find out would have been to supply the vin or picture of the trim tag yet you will only give that info out to the winning bidder. It is obvious that a Yenko will bring a bunch more money than a fixed up Camaro so why wouldn't you give out the info to maximize the sale price. I see the auction ended at 20,000.00 but did not sell. A real Yenko might bring 100K more than what the auction ended at so why would you not provide pertinent info ? You have proof that it had a 410 hp 427 ? What is this proof ? You seem to be trying to attract the Supercar buyer but you won't give them any help ? All the Yenko implications seem to be taking away from the fact that it looks like a nice car.

The sad fact is that the car looks to be a really nice car.Even the hot rodded engine looks pretty good for a knock off.In todays market,if that car is as clean as it looks in the photos,he might get 50 grand for it just based on it being a great looking clone.He had to know that the only way to even begin to attract a buyer for the car as a bonafide supercar,that he would have to release the VIN and all trim tag info,and for 6 figures,I would plan on having any interested bidders coming to see the car before bidding.

But in reality,I have seen guys sell stuff for next to nothing even when they know what it is and how much it's worth,but most of it could be documented.A friend of mine had an LS6/th400 chevelle,factory red with black stripes car with the working cowl flap hood.The car had every original driveline part except the engine was a 1971 CE code 427 with the intake and carb and all the rest off the LS6.The car was a hot rod with 4.88's in place of the stock gears and headers and glasspacks hanging off the bottom,and the body had some plastic,but it was all there,and a clean lookng car.He lost his job and found another one that he had to commute to.He couldnt uproot his family and he needed a reliable car{he had a junker that he drove 3 miles to work when the weather was bad}.He traded his pride and joy Chevelle for a 1986 Monte SS with some chrome wheels on it.The guy selling the Monte only wanted 3 grand for it to begin with{this was in the late 90's}.The Chevelle at the time was worth about 10 grand even at a fire sale price,the car was really nice,but as I said,it did have some plastic under the paint,and it was never frame off restored.He needed money now,and nobody had cash,and he couldnt be bothered with the internet or want ads,he needed money now and was flat busted broke,and this is what he had to do to put food on the table.

I can say I worked the same situation to my advantage,but they guy I just bought my old GTA back from wanted 10 grand for it last summer,and turned down 2 offers,one for 8 grand and one for 7500.He just bought a new Mustang Cobra,and lost interest in the GTA[somewhat rare one of about 250 made in it's color combo and only about 50 with the 5.7 engine in this combo},but he though he was sitting on a gold mine.He got the insuance bill for his new Mustang last month and put the GTA out on the street with a $3500 asking price.It turns out that he racked up a few tickets with his new hot rod and the insurance company wanted 3 grand up front for the next year just to insure it.He had a few hundered bucks alloted for his first insurance payment of the new year and couldnt find an insurance company that would touch him for less then 3 grand up front and 4500 a year.If he wanted to keep his new toy,the GTA had to go.I was waiting cash in hand to buy it back,so sometimes people do sell stuff for a fraction of what it is worth.

A few years back,I made a few bucks helpong a guy out.He was about 2/3 the way through paying off his 1995 mustang combra,when he fell on hard luck and couldnt afford the payments and insurance anymore.He owed $4800 on the car and it was in the book for about $15,000.He couldnt find anybody with cash to buy the car,and the repo man was looking for it.I gave him an 85 Camaro that I wanted $1500 for in trade,and I payed off his car.I sold the car without ever putting it in my name and got $12,500 for it.
So if the supercar you want is out of your price range,dont fret,sooner or later one will turn up in the hand of a desperate indvidual who justs wants out.When that time comes,have your cash ready.

It doesn't look like he ever actually said it was a Yenko unless that was removed from his auction. But regardless, I don't know how you can try and sell something by implying what you think it is and not be willing to give out information like the VIN and cowl tag. It's the same as someone coming to your house and looking at it. So do the potential buyers a favor and list the information you have. Why claim to have documented proof of something and then not show anyone the documentation.

I got the same email as everyone else did the Omar one.
I agree he knows an awful lot about these cars. It seems as though he either has a real car or has been studying real cars but as for the Dana story ... why does the car have Yenko Centercaps and a Yenko emblem on the tail pan and grille if it is a Dana car?
IMO a Dana car is probably more valuable but not as well known to the Masses.

Ah ha I think we may have found the answer.
But then not as well known will attract the informed buyer ...not a good thing if the car is in fact a clone.
