Cool, I'm glad you were able to locate a copy. Yeah, it's been 20+ years since I've seen that article so I couldn't remember the details exactly. The other guy in the photo standing next to Wangers might be Ace Wilson. I thought there was a photo of him with the article but perhaps not. Post it and let's have a look.
I bought a big stack of early '60s Hot Rods for a couple dollars at a local used book shop in about 1981 and that's when I saw that article. I was 18 then and I read them over and over for months but they got lost after several household moves. ![]() |

Yeah, he'll probably know who the other guy was (is). I love solving historical mysteries and filling in gaps of knowledge, especially years after the fact.
