thanks Guys,
I figured somebody in the know could tell something from that valve stem, among other things. I checked the lug holes and have 4 1/2 from center to center. The rim looks the same as some plain 14x6's I have laying around from a 71 Malibu. If it comes down to it I guess I could mount the tire on one of them. Steve, (question about the gray painted 68 rim you refer to)Is it the same color gray used on the 68 jack base? I currently have a full size rally with a 1970 tiger-paw in the trunk. Not sure which I would prefer, as the spare was missing when I got the car, and the original owner didn't remember what it had. I guess I have blinders on...when it comes to anything but GM and Chevrolet, as I never even considered that space savers came in fords or mopars ![]()
