it gets better..I uncovered this last night but wanted to check with the board before posting...take a look at both links..look closely at the house, gravel road and the bushes on the gravel road..looks the same to me...

Roger said it best...wonder what the cars would bring at a real auction by the government...

So he is al COPOL89, the same guy he was complaining about causing all that grief... He is right. He does manage to cause himself grief. I bet his Dad would be right proud of him. The L89 convert might be neat but the pranks this punk is up to detracts from any legitimacy the car might have.

Ed,

What can be said. Maybe MonteCarloMan can load up a U Haul trailer and take his wonderful collection to Barrett Jackson, and sell it for millions of dollars. Sell it all at once...that way he can find another career while he's still young(like going back and getting an education). Or maybe he can retire...for everyone's sake. What else can be said?

Well, there's always that slight chance that someone will get panicky (it is an auction, after all) and buy-off on that "vintage" Motion sticker and "possible" ties to Motion Performance and drop more money for the car than it's otherwise worth. It is true that some of the surviving supercars were found in similar surroundings but today it's more likely that such barn finds, etc., would sell through brokers and word-of-mouth to serious collectors and not put on eBay. I said "more likely" but anything is possible. This guy, however dishonest and ridiculous his attempt, stood a small chance of making money on this deal. Thanks to the Internet and a few minutes of quick research, we can all jump all over this crap within minutes and foil these frauds.

well the real sad part is it looks like his Dad had stashed some stuff over the years and had some cool cars along the way and Monteman or who ever has been selling a ton of it on e bay...the good is we get access to some parts that were stashed the bad is this jacka$$ was playing with the auctions...I would bet the buyers of his items would like to read this thread.

Bud.
